THE WORLD BEHIND THE VIDEOS
One region.
Many perspectives.
The Baltic is a web of people, places and ideas. Look closer, and the connections begin to emerge.
The Baltic Code explores history, mythology, culture and identity through cinematic stories. Here, the story continues: with deeper context, the evidence behind it, and paths into the next discovery. Articles distinguish documented evidence, interpretation and folklore, with sources you can follow.
HOW TO EXPLORE
Begin with a question.
Follow a period on the timeline, trace a topic across time, or search for a person, place or idea. Each article is a complete story, with context beyond the short film.
Follow the evidence.
Sources and historical notes connect claims to the material behind them. We distinguish a source’s account from interpretation and folklore, and identify illustrated scenes and fictional guides as reconstructions.
